Adventures in the Kimberley and Northen Australia

The Kimberley region of Western Australia is a land of ancient and spectacular contrasts and variety, it almost defies the imaginaton. From Broome's Cable Beach to the rugged red ranges and lush gorges of the East Kimberley. This amazing contrast is really not surprising when you consider that the Kimberley is three times the size of England!

There are two seasons throughout the Kimberley, the northern towns generally have higher maximum temperatures and the southern coastal towns experience a higher humidity and average minimum temperature. The long dry period in winter brings a fantastic climate with rainless, balmy days, while the green season brings higher temperatures and monsoonal rains generally falling between December and March. These rains inject a new lease of life into the countryside resulting in glittering waterfalls, lush green growth, raging rivers and some of the best fishing imaginable.

As a holiday adventure, the Kimberley offers an exciting wilderness environment combined with the benefits of modern towns. Regular tours for all ages venture to such extraordinary locations as the Mitchell Plateau, Bungle Bungle National Park along the Gibb River Road and Kimberley coastline.
The Kimberley has daily air services from Perth into Broome, Derby and Kununurra, then on to Darwin. Ord Air Charter offers connections to Fitzroy Crossing and Halls Creek.
The region is linked by sealed highways to Perth and Darwin and Express coaches service the Kimberley daily through Deluxe, Greyhound and Bus Australia.
Wherever you go in the wild, inspiring north, you will find a myriad of unique and unforgettable sights and experiences that you will carry in your memory forever.
